                  💞  The solar  system consists of eight planets of which the earth is the one of the star center is called the sun . This solar system is tucked away in a corner of a Milky way at a distance of about 30,000 to 33,000 light years from the center of this galaxy. This system contains eight planets - Mercury, Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter, Saturn,Uranus and Neptune.                          💞 A planet means a wanderer . Unlike the stars which have a fixed position ,the planets shift their positions and velocity and are never stationary . The first five planets are named after Roman gods .The inner planets are highly dense and rocky.                 There are many programmes on TV. Some of them are news,tele dramas, cartoons ,music programmes and so on. Students shouldn't waste their time to watch all the TV programmes. We must select good programmes to watch and improve knowledge as well as enjoy. My favorite TV programme is Atapattama. We can again a lot of knowledge by watching this. This is a very good educational programme. It is telecast at 7.30 every Wednesday. It is presented by Mr.Hasantha Hettiarachchi,  the popular announcer important and interesting programmes are presented by him. I like it very much. I never miss it.

                     My father is the hero in my life. He is my best friend too. His name is Mr.Gamini Kumara.He is 49 years old. He is of medium height and lean. He is a very kindhearted and generous person. He is very honest and sociable too.  He is a STF officer. He normally grows his beard and it gives him a solemn look. He ever wears his hair neatly. We have no any secrets between us. He ever works hard for us. He looks after mother ,sisters, and me very well. He provides us with everything possible. He solves our problems intelligently and willingly. He teaches us good habits and ethics. His favorite food is milk rice. I think that my father is the best father in the world. I am so lucky to have such a good and loving father. I respect and love my father very much.

                ❤ My hobby is reading story books. It is a very interesting and useful hobby. I started this hobby when I was in grade 4. I have a small , but valuable library in my home.  I have over 100 books in my library. I'm also a member of the public library in Balangoda. My favorite books are Madoldoowa,Gamperaliya,Oliver Twist ,The adventure of Tom Sawyer, Amda  Yaaluwo . My favorite authors are Mr.Martin Wickremaainghe ,Shakespeare and Mr.Chandana Mendis. I exchange books with my friends and neighbors. One day I hope to compose a story book. My hobby helps me to improve my knowledge and get experiences.

                              The festival wears a lovely look. Everyone is very glad,gay and mirthful. Some celebrate it in the most enthusiastic way .Some indulge in gambling . Gambling according to gamblers, forms a part of Diwali festival and whosoever doesn't gamble,becomes a donkey in his next life.                                   At the night is performed 'Lakshmi Puja' . The Hindus worship Lakshmi ; the Goddess of welath on this day .They pray ,so that, Goddess Lakshmi may visit their houses .                      Diwali festival is the festival of the whole country. Seegiriya  I visited Sigiriya with my friends last week. We started our journey early in the morning .We reached to Sigiriya at about 9 o'clock .Sigiriya is a rock temple. Sigiriya hasbeen built by king Kashyapa .Ponds ,paintings ,the lion's paw ,graffities,the mirror wall and canals etc can be seen in Sigiriya. Sigiriya is visited by local and foreign tourists every day. We met so many tourists there.We came back home at about 10 o'clock in the next day morning.We really enjoyed the journey and l like to visit Sigiriya again .
